ANGARAKA LOKA
INTRODUCTION
Angaraka also known as Mangala, and Mars, is the red planet, and he is the god of war, and he is considered as an aspect of Lord Muruga. In one legend, he was mentioned as the son of Lord Varaha and Ma Bhudevi, whereas in another legend, he is believed to have been born from the sweat of Lord Shiva.
His abode is the Angaraka Loka, which appears red in colour similar to him. Some Space agencies are giving the pictures of the Angaraka by sending space crafts, and as per their research they have declared that no people are living in the divine world, Angaraka Loka. Though they have examined it in detail, yet, they are able to give only limited amount of information about the Mars Planet. As per their statements, sometimes sand wind would occur in this planet, and it would last for several months. They are also giving some information like some quantity of water exists in the mars, but it is very difficult to live in the planet mars, since the climatic conditions are not suitable for the human beings to live in this planet, and it is also very far away from the earth.
If we see from the Spiritual aspect, the abode of Angaraka looks very attractive, and lot of beautiful palaces are built. He is living in this Loka along with his consort and his children. He is always protected by Lord Shiva and Vishnu, and hence no one can defeat him. His place was once visited by Rishi Narada, and he tells about this to his beloved friend Tumburu, “Angaraka Loka looks very beautiful, and it is very good in art and architecture. I can see lot of beautiful paintings of Lord Shiva and Vishnu, which add beauty to the entire palace. His consort Ma Jwalini Devi glitters similar to the Rohini Star, and she appears similar to Ma Shakti Devi, and she blesses all of the devotees from the Angaraka Loka along with Lord Angaraka.
Visiting the divine worlds is very difficult at the present situation of life, but at least, we can read about these nice things from the holy Puranas, and can get satisfied.
