INTRODUCTION
Bhagat Kanwar Ram was a Sindhi singer and poet. He was a disciple of Satram Das Sahib. He was born in the year 1885 at a village in Uttar Pradesh. He was very religious oriented and considered as a saint and guru among the Sindhis. He was an ardent devotee of Guru Jhulelal Maharaj, an incarnation of Lord Varuna Bhagawan, and sung lot of songs in praise of him.
He was very much respected by the Sindhi people, for his good qualities, and he used to spend his time by writing poems, composing music and singing songs, and his poems were written in simple language. He also composed and sung divine songs on Lord Ram, and his songs were highly praised by the people. He respected all community people, and treated everyone as alike. At his teenage, he has become the disciple of Satram Das Sahib, and served sincerely to his guru. He had donated most of his wealth for noble cause, and done lot of good things in his life. Though he was a kind hearted person, due to his bad fate, he was murdered by his enemies in Sukkur in the year 1939. Still now his devotees and followers are worshipping him as their guru, and a holy shrine is also built for him at Raharki.
