Eighteen Wonderful Praises On Lord Rama

INTRODUCTION

Lord Rama is one of the precious avatars of Lord Vishnu, and though he had incarnated before several lakhs of years, yet he is remembered for his good qualities like giving respect to father’s words, showing affection on everybody and kindly treating even his servants as his own family members etc. In this avatar, mostly he didn’t show his divine form similar to Lord Krishna, and he lived like a normal person. Rama avatar is very much praised by the people since Vedic times, and it is very good to read the Ramayana regularly, in order to get rid from the day to day problems in our lives. Lord Rama is very much liked by his devotees due to his simplicity and generosity. Though Lord Hanuman is a Vanara, but Lord Rama didn’t see about his clan and about his appearance, but treated him like his own brother, and gave much respect to him.

There are lot of Slokas written in praise of Lord Rama by many saintly and holy people, but among those, the 18 praises on Lord Rama looks more attractive and beautiful, since it describes about glory of Lord Rama, and it also tells about his significance.

The 18 praises on Lord Rama are as follows:-
