The Jain Golden Temple in Falna is a famous pilgrimage centre of the Jains. It is located in the city of Ranakpur in Rajasthan and is situated on the banks of the river Magai. The temple is situated on the Jaipur Ahmedabad highway. The principal deity of the temple is Lord Parshvanath the 23rdTirthankar. The temple was constructed by members of the Jain community.
Architecture of the Temple
The temple is beautifully decorated and adorned with intricate works of architecture. The temple has a huge ceiling that is made of fine quality marble. The sculpture of the temple has intricate designs. It has more than thousand pillars with each pillar being different from each other. The main idol of Lord Parshvanath is made of black granite and is about two feet tall. A Kanch Mandir is located below the main temple. The temple is beautifully designed with small sized mirrors.
