INTRODUCTION
Giridhara Gopala Baaro.., these are the wonderful hymns from the songs of Ma Meera Bai.
Giridhara means the one (Lord Krishna) who has easily lifted the Govardhana Mountain with his little finger.
Gopala means the divine cowherd (Lord Krishna) who has taken much care and attention on his cows, and made them to satisfactorily graze in the grass fields.
Baaro means asking Lord Krishna to meet us soon. (Hey Krishna please come soon in order to purify my mind).
There are few business units containing the name Giri, which run successfully, and it proves how the great Lord Krishna helps them in doing their business ventures in a remarkable manner!
We can quote a few examples for that, like Giri Trading Agency Pvt Ltd (Doing divine service by selling their valuable spiritual products to the customers), Giri Gopal Hotels in North India offers good customer service to its customers through its variety of tasty dishes at an affordable price, Giri Raj Travels runs their travel agency by offering good pilgrim packages, and they takes their customers to various holy places.
Lord Krishna contains more than 1000 names, and all these names are being chanted by the devotees regularly, and those who takes part in this good job, would be suitably rewarded by Lord Krishna.
Why in most of the pictures, Lord Krishna is seen along with Gopikas (Female Cowherds and the humble devotees of Lord Krishna)?
Why can’t a woman be a devotee to Lord Krishna, why can’t she sing and dance along with Lord Krishna similar to men, why can’t she hug and kiss Krishna by shedding joyful tears and considering him as everything for her!
In the bhakti concept, we cannot distinguish between men and women. Whoever is interested to worship Lord Krishna are eligible to worship him, and Lord Krishna never differentiates his devotees in the name of caste, creed, gender and religion. Even if other religious men/women are interested to offer their prayers, Krishna would eagerly accept it, and would shower his unlimited blessings on to them. The ISKCON men/women and the great saint-poet Tansen and Salabega acts as best examples for that!
Though saints like Purandara Dasa and Thyagaraja had sung numerous songs on Lord Krishna, but, as of now, only some few hundred songs are available with us. Whenever they desire to sing songs, immediately Ma Saraswati would dwell on their tongues, and would make them to sing numerous bhakti songs on Lord Krishna. They have got such good talents, but, however, they have lived a very simple life!
In this present day world, listening to bhakti songs seems to be boring for most of us! Since we do not have the enthusiasm to patiently listen to those songs, and especially whenever any new feature films get released, immediately our hands would activate our mobile phones to watch those film songs! While making prayers to the god, we should not pray only for our own cause! We should pray for the universal goodness, similar to the saints and sages, and by doing that, we could feel a great sense of satisfaction in our mind.
God never insist us to offer prayers to him, since he doesn’t need anything from us. Only we need a plenty from him, and hence at least for fulfilling our own needs let us worship him selfishly, and in course of time, we would be addicted to him and would worship him selflessly! Slow and steady worship alone would enable us to become permanent slaves to the god!
