International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Ujjain is organising a 3-day event to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and golden jubilee of the society’s inception from March 11 to 13. On March 11, functions will be organised at Tower Chowk from 4:30 to 9 pm. The cultural programme will begin at 6 pm with ‘bhajan kirtan’ till 6:15 pm following which a 15-minute programme of group dance will be held. Bakhtiprem Maharaj will give religious discourse till 7 pm. Followers will stage plays on ‘Kahani Kaliya ki’ and ‘King of Compassion’ from 7 to 8:15 pm. A 15-minute documentary will be telecast on the life of Mahaprabhu till 8:30 pm. Programmes will end with ‘Harinaam Kirtan’ at 9 pm. On March 12, an event will be organised at ISKCON temple from 5 to 7 pm. A seminar on the life of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu will be conducted. An ‘Abhishek’ ceremony will also be held. Holi with flowers will be played at temple premises on March 13. An exhibition on the life of Mahaprabhu will be showcased on all three days.
