Ma Sachyee is considered as the giver of boons and the fulfiller of wishes, and she is a pious, holy and a chaste mother goddess, who treats all the divine devas and the Apsaras in the heaven as her own children. She welcomes the noble souls to the heaven, and places them in a proper position in the heaven. She has two children, Jayanta and Jayanti. She serves as a dutiful wife to Lord Indra for several millions of years, and through the powers of her chastity, she is protecting her consort Lord Indra from his enemies, the demons.
It is believed that till the end of this Kaliyuga, she would be living in the Indra Loka, and after that, she would be merged with Ma Shakti Devi. Various Slokas and songs are there in praise of Ma Sachyee. She also appears in the dream of her sincere devotees, and removes the tears from the eyes of the sufferers. She is highly praised for her gentleness, kindness and holiness. She brings heavy rain during rainy season, makes the infertile lands into fertile, and gives good yield during the harvest season. Females are suggested to worship Ma Sachyee, in order to protect them from dangers.
