INTRODUCTION
Sri Kalyaneshwar Mahadev Mandir was founded by King Janaka in Mithila. The temple is situated at a village in Madhubani district which is near to the Indo-Nepal Border Area. It is believed that King Janaka had installed Shivlingams at this temple. The temple is believed to have been built during the Treta Yuga, that is, during the Ramayana Period, and hence it is considered to be very sacred, marvellous, ancient, and contains historical significance.
