Shivrathri is an auspicious festival for the Hindus where the Shivling is usually bathed with holy water and milk. Vishwa Sanatan Mandir is a small temple in the UK but it has scored a first in the UK, perhaps in the whole world too. It conducted the Shiv Pooja with coconut milk instead of cow’s milk. A version of Bhang made of coconut was also served! Panditji said Lord Shiva should be worshipped with coconut milk as it is very auspicious.
So it is time now for other temples to follow the example of Vishwa Sanatan Mandir and go Vegan!
