‘AANANDA RAMA’. In this form, Lord Rama appears in a blissful state. He appears happily with a smile on his face. Generally we would have heard about only the sorrows faced by Lord Rama in the epic Ramayana. But he has lived happily even in the forest by telling some wonderful stories to Ma Sita and Lakshmana, and he also happily interacted with the pious sages during the time of his ban period. The tension and stress which he has placed was happened only when he was separated from his wonderful consort Ma Sita, that is, during the time of Ma Sita’s kidnap and her subsequent stay at Lanka.
Even when his brother Lakshmana had felt worried about his sorrowful condition, yet, Rama used to console him, like an affectionate father, and used to tell to him. ”Hey my Dear Lakshmana, no one can escape from the fate. Even I am subjected to fate, and I must never try to disobey the governed laid down rules of the almighty”.
There is also a famous Tamil song in praise of Lord Rama, and the contents are as follows:-
Aananda Rama, Agila Ulagai Aalum Rama, Undan Peyarai Solvadale Naangalum Yepodum Aanandamai Irukindrome.
Meaning:
Oh Lord Rama you are always in happy mood, you are the universal master, and those who recite your names, would attain great happiness forever in their lives!
During the period of Lord Rama, even the animals and birds can freely and happily enter his palace and they used to praise him and sometimes they also used to complain about their problems. During his rule, all the people in his kingdom lived very happily and peacefully, and they didn’t suffer from any type of physical and mental diseases. There was no enmity between the people, and all of them lived like good friends.
All of them possessed adequate wealth, and there was no shortage of food grains in his kingdom. Rain was showered on all the seasons, and all the crops were grown properly. All the people in his kingdom used to happily chant the Rama Mantra, ’RAMA, RAMA’, and ‘JAI SRIRAM’, and even the animals and birds used to praise him cheerfully! Though Lord Rama felt very sad for losing Sita under the earth, yet he tried his level best to maintain happiness in his life, and with her fond memories, he ruled the kingdom of Ayodhya for 11,000 years, and he finally departed from the earth, and went to Vaikunta, along with the Ayodhya people.
