INTRODUCTION
ErrapragadaErranna(1325–1353) was a Telugu poet. He was born in a village located at Andhra Pradesh.
LIFE
He belonged to the Brahmin caste. His family followed Sanatana Dharma and spread it among the people. He was a devotee of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
SPIRITUAL WRITINGS
1.Translation of Mahabharata from Sanskrit to Telugu.
2.Translation of the Harivamsamu and Ramayanamu from Sanskrit to Telugu.
3. Nrisimhapuranamu was written by him directly in Telugu.
IMPORTANCE
Errapragada was not only a poet but also a great saint, who has devoted his life towards the worship of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. His works speak about the importance of Ramayana and Mahabaratha in the Telugu language. He was well versed in both Sanskrit and telugu. He was honored by the kings in praise of his divine works. He invoked the bhakti spirit among the people through his spiritual works.
CONCLUSION
A great poet and a wise person, who was attracted by his followers, through his praise of God by his poems. Though he lived a short life, through his poems, he is still living in the minds of his followers. Let us worship this great divine saint and speak his glory and the glory of the god and be blessed.
