INTRODUCTION
Praising the god by the way of scolding him is said to be Ninda Stuthi, since the great god even takes our scolding lightly, and in fact, he consider it even as a praise from us!
1. Ninda = Blaming the god due to our own personal problems.
2. Stuti = Praising the god out of our true love and affection on him.
Ninda Stuti is a form of worship where we blame and praise the God at the same time.
We can cite a few examples for this Ninda Stuthi from the great epics like Bhagavata Purana, and from the Mahabharata, where the permanent rivals of Krishna like Kamsa, Shishupala and Dantavaktra used to exchange heated words on him that is they have done ninda-stuti to Lord Krishna. In the Ramayana, Ravana and Kumbhakarna have done ninda-stuti to Lord Rama, but still, all of them have attained salvation after their death.
We can also take it in the lighter sense, that by doing Ninda-stuti, we could come closer to the god and by doing that, we would feel that god is our own, and we can also treat him as our nearest and dearest friend.
Ninda Stuti in the form of songs is also available in India.
Actually we are not supposed to blame the god for our fate, but sometimes, it would occur without our control, and due to ignorance!
Even I used to do Ninda Stuti regularly due to my own personal problems. But after sometime, I would seek apology to the god, and then again I would start doing Ninda Stuti, since there is no end for human sufferings in this difficult Kali Yuga!
Curse and praise of the god would always go together as a part of our worship. In fact, our curse only leads us to praise the god, similar to scolding our own mother, and immediately asking sorry to her! But even while cursing the god, we should not use obscene words, but, of course, we can question before the god, by mentioning about our problems, and by the way, we can put our burdens on his shoulders. During the time of our curse, we can affectionately scold our Lord Muruga like, Hey Muruga, is it good for you, to give me these kinds of unbearable troubles, if you are in my position then what you would do? Like that, we can always ask him, since we have got full privilege towards our dear Lord Muruga. Then after few minutes, when we see the picture of Muruga, tears would automatically flow from our eyes, as if we have scolded our dear mother!
At the time of praising the god, instead of praising one god, we can praise all of the gods and goddesses, since by doing that we could get a wonderful experience, which I have had it several times in my life! For example, while we praise Lord Muruga using his different names, like Kanda, Kadamba, Kathirvela, Shanmuga, and then immediately we could refer to the names of Vinakaya, Ganesa, Yanaimuga, Ganapathy, Ayyappa, Om Shakti, Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namo Narayana, Dhruva, Prahalada, Brishaspati, Shanidev, Surya, Chandra, Indra like that.
One thing we should always remember in our mind is, actually god doesn’t require anything from us, and in fact, he is entirely independent, but, we only require his full support to walk steadily in our life, or otherwise, we would fall on to the dark pit and would break our body organs.
As per the sayings of Lord Krishna in his Bhagavat Gita Teachings, “Oh my dear Arjuna, I show mercy even to those who curse me, and, I have granted salvation even to the wicked kings like Kamsa and Shisubala who have considered me as their worst enemy! I have done favours to them, since even during the time of their sleep, I appeared on their dream, and disturbed their sleep. Though their intention was bad, but, however, since they have remembered me during most part of their life, hence, I have sent them to the heaven, since I don’t want them to suffer any more in their life. I am showing mercy to all of the creatures, but according to the Yuga Dharma, humans must have to tolerate some pains on their life, since pains alone would mould them to reach a better shape in their life, but, however, if they call me, by reciting my names, then, immediately I would reduce their pain, and also would make them to easily bear that pain”.
