SONGS IN PRAISE OF LORD ARUNACHALA BY GURU RAMANA
INTRODUCTION
Guru Ramana was a great saint of Thiruvannamalai, and he has kept great devotion on Lord Arunachaleswara, a form of Lord Shiva, of Thiruvannamalai. Though he left his physical body during the year 1950, but still he is living with us through his divine works. He has composed and also sang songs in praise of Lord Arunachaleswarar, which was eagerly watched by his devotees, and it was written in the form of precious poems.
The wonderful contents contained in the divine songs are as follows:-
I humbly salute Lord Ganapati, who is the first god and the son of our holy Arunachala, let him bless all of us and remove the obstacles in our lives.
Oh Lord Arunachala, please remove the ego from our mind and make us to devote only on you.
Oh Lord Arunachala, we have become very much addicted in uttering your divine mantra, “OM SRI ARUNACHALESWARAYA NAMAHA”.
Oh Lord Arunachala, don’t ignore me, please take me to your abode, or otherwise I would have to suffer in this materialistic world.
Oh Lord Arunachala, I have become mad by concentration my attention only on you.
Oh Lord Arunachala, I want to enjoy your divine beauty again and again, and show me your presence.
Oh Lord Arunachala, Even my parents might forget about me, but you would never do like that, and you are the one, who showers your entire love and affection on us than that of our parents.
Oh Lord Arunachala, please remove the bad elements from my mind, and fill it up with full of spirituality.
Oh Lord Arunachala, you are like the precious gem among all other deities, and you glitters similar to several millions of suns.
Oh Lord Arunachala, those who sing your songs would be very much delighted with that, and they would be interested to sing more and more songs on you.
Oh Lord Arunachala, I am your slave, and you are my beautiful master.
Oh Lord Arunachala, I don’t know how to praise you, since you contain very good features.
Oh Lord Arunachala, the saints who live in your holy abode Kailash had done very good deeds, since they can see your divine vision at any time.
Oh Lord Arunachala, those saints who involve themselves in your thoughts, would forget their hunger and sleep, and you would remain permanently in their souls.
Oh Lord Arunachala, you have been praised in the holy Puranas and Vedas, you are considered as the supreme among all other gods, and those who recite your names would attain great spiritual bliss.
Oh Lord Arunachala, even Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu were unable to find your full divine form. But with your grace, I want to see your full divine form.
