SWAMI VISHWANANDA
Swami Vishwananda, an enlightened spiritual master from the island of Mauritius, is the founder and inspiration behind the Bhakti Marga movement. He is an embodiment of one who lives the path of devotion to perfection. The main principles of Sri Swami Vishwananda‘s mission Bhakti Marga are “Love Patience Unity”: These three words united, create a timeless formula that indicates both the goal as well as the path leading to it. Swamiji‘s message is very simple: Just Love. His life is dedicated to opening the hearts of people and awakening their innate ability to Love beyond any conditioning. His aim is to help others find and realise the utmost, unlimited, unconditional Divine Love already present within every human being. Swamiji often points out that one needs a lot of patience and perseverance on the spiritual path and that no quick results are to be expected. It is his wish that people learn to trust God and the Guru seated within their hearts. This trust develops over time as one begins to surrender more and more to the will of the Divine. The final goal of the individual spiritual journey is unity with the Divine. Swamiji teaches us to see the unifying Love that lies behind all religious paths. His natural ease in connecting elements from eastern spirituality with elements of the western spiritual tradition gives people access to a very personal experience with the Divine, regardless of culture, gender or age.
Bhakti Marga
The time has come to bring a change to the world. The purpose of Bhakti Marga is to help bring this change necessary in the hearts of mankind so we can progress and rise together on our spiritual path. Bhakti Marga was founded by Sri Swami Vishwananda in 2005. Bhakti means Love and devotion while Marga stands for way or path. Bhakti Marga is the way of Love and devotion to the Divine. It is a journey from the mind to the heart where we encounter true Love and our Divine Self. The Bhakti Marga community consists of hundreds of groups and thousands of like-minded individuals around the globe who are connected through their devotion and Love for God. Ultimately, within the path of devotion, there are as many different paths as there are individuals, as each relationship with the Divine is very personal and absolutely unique.
Shree Peetha Nilaya
It is in Germany that Bhakti Marga has its headquarters. In the beautiful countryside of the Taunus region lies Shree Peetha Nilaya (“abode of the Divine Mother”). The Centre and Ashram is the main hub of Bhakti Marga and the work of Swamiji. It is a place of nonstop spirituality. Residents and guests come together daily to participate in prayers, meditation, singing, Seva, and to share their Love of the Divine with one another. Large festivals are held monthly with participants from around the world; creating a dynamic atmosphere of transformation and spiritual development that provides each seeker with what they are searching for. Swamiji has provided many different practices that allow us to discover the Divine Love within ourselves such as Atma Kriya Yoga, OM Healing, puja (prayers), kirtan (devotional singing), icon painting, mantra chanting, and many more.
